Which Schools Are Online In Dubai?

On Monday,

Some Dubai private schools resumed face-to-face classes after switching to online learning last week. First day of classes at Kent College Dubai was January 10, when all grades returned to the classrooms. As part of the online learning program at Victory Heights Primary School, teachers welcomed pupils on site this week. On January 17, some private schools in the emirate will return to classrooms after holding classes remotely for several months. It has become increasingly common for schools to operate online in recent years. There was a 25% increase in enrollment in 2022 at one of the online schools in Dubai. A Dubai-based school based on an American curriculum, called iCademy Middle East, experienced an increase of 25% in enrolment.

Over The Past Few Years,

Online schooling has become more popular among students and parents. It became a better option to enroll their children in an online school for those parents who were already considering alternatives such as homeschooling or distance learning. The flexibility and ease of online schools allows students to study at their own pace, at their own convenience, and in their own time.

Therefore,

Regular physical schools are no longer subject to geographic barriers. Furthermore, online schooling has developed into a solution to longstanding challenges such as bullying in schools, inattention in classrooms, poor academic scores, and mental health issues. A report in The National last week reported that over two dozen schools in Dubai switched to distance learning early in the new term because of Covid-19 outbreaks. A decision is made each day about whether or not to resume in-person lessons in some schools.

Older Children May Continue To Learn,

Through distance learning while some grades return to the classroom. According to Gems Education’s chief operations officer Elmarie Venter, KHDA has approved remote learning at Gems Education schools in Dubai. While some schools have already begun welcoming back students for face-to-face learning, this process will continue depending on an individual school’s circumstances over the next few days.”

There Were Some Pupils Physically In School On Tuesday At Seven Gems Education Schools,

On Wednesday, however, many more students will return to school. Our number one priority remains ensuring the health and safety of our school communities, and we will continue to work closely with the appropriate regulators and follow their guidance. In some schools, the belief is that physical presence in the classroom enhances the learning environment. The principal of Kent College Dubai, Anthony Cashin, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer full-time, face-to-face learning again this week.

Although Our Online Learning Provision Is Seamless,

We believe that face-to-face learning is more effective. “We decided to begin the new term with five days of online learning during the last week of the holidays.” As a result of receiving messages from staff and parents, the school decided to move to remote learning in early January. During that time, there were too many cases for the school to cover everyone who would be absent.

At 26 Of Gems Education’s Campuses In Dubai,

Classes continue to be conducted online. In the aftermath of the move to distance learning, Gems Education continued to collaborate closely with the UAE authorities to ensure the safety of our school communities. Our students will be welcomed back into class as soon as it is safe. We are constantly monitoring the situation.” A week has been added to the remote learning period at Ambassador School in Dubai, according to principal Sheela Menon.

According to the school, in-person classes will resume on January 17 as a result of the extension granted by the KHDA. A list of schools in the UAE that offer online education can be found below
